Graffiti Workshop at Upfest Gallery

Graff

This was the result of a 2 hour graffiti workshop I completed at the Upfest Gallery on North Street. It was so much fun! Using a calligraphy cap and paints which were supplied by the gallery we had a play in the sunshine on the walls of the galleries own outside space. Highly recommended! Please visit The Upfest Gallery Website here for details and info on other upcoming events.

Upfest 2012

This weekend Upfest 2012 bought some of the most talented graff artists to Bedminster.  The Bristol based Art festival is growing more popular each year and the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and creativity.  Highlights included a live drawing competition, a real train carriage being painted in the street, live music from some top local DJs and MCs, and some impressively sized pieces!  The evening events were slightly quashed with an apocalyptic style downpour of rain for 2 hours – next year lets hope for a bit more sun!  A very cool and inspiring day.

Graffiti Inspiration

These beautiful pieces were painted during the Bristol ‘See No Evil’ festival back in August 2011.  The event showcased some amazing work with top graffiti artists travelling from all over the globe to create the biggest pieces in Europe.  The birds stood out because of the neon colours contrasting against the grey concrete.  The use of pattern and pockets of ornate detail in the work also really caught my eye.  Stunning!
